Alma Arguello (she/her) is an influential advocate for social justice, diversity and inclusion. Her expertise in supporting the most vulnerable by developing practices and policies that empower and mobilize change has turned around countless lives. She has catalyzed ground-breaking programs to reduce stigma, exposed local human trafficking and built alliances to change the course of injustice. In the process women, children and boys have been able to leave disparity and being preyed on, to lead successful lives. As the Executive Director of the Brantford Native Housing she is confronting the housing crisis (which is dominated by Indigenous peoples) with culturally appropriate housing, wrap around services and advocacy.
