Brian Gilligan is Ottawa Community Housing’s Chief Officer of Community and Tenant Support where he is responsible for OCH’s 24/7 uniformed security service, community development, tenant support, the volunteer program, and community partnerships. Brian’s desire to successfully house those coming from chronic homelessness and living with complex mental health and substance use challenges, comes from a long career working with homeless populations, and in infectious disease programming and child protection in Canada, Africa, and Asia. As social housing landlords, he believes that the sector has a critical role to play in developing housing models and partnerships that best serve those who come to live with us, as well as engage with our tenants as full partners in this work.
