Rebecca Roy serves as the Executive Director of Housing Cambridge Inc. and Satellite Community Homes, overseeing nearly 1200 units of affordable housing in the Region of Waterloo. With over 30 years in the non-profit sector, Rebecca’s leadership is marked by a genuine commitment to poverty reduction, equity, and inclusion. 

Rebecca’s journey in leadership started at age 8 when she became the pioneering captain of her elementary school’s Safety Patrol team. From those first steps in leadership, Rebecca has never looked back. As an authentic and strategic leader, Rebecca’s expertise in mental health, community development, housing and property management is matched only by her commitment to fostering community collaboration and growth. 

With a Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University  Rebecca combines her academic prowess with real-world experience to make a meaningful difference. At Satellite Community Homes, Rebecca works to foster collaboration and strengthen communities, embodying a leadership style rooted in authenticity and teamwork.  In every role, Rebecca’s passion and dedication shine through, making her not just a leader but a true advocate for positive change.
