Jim Venhuizen is the Senior Manager, Maintenance and Restoration with Windsor Essex Community Housing Corporation (CHC) In this role, Jim oversees maintenance, residential equipment inspections and compliance, unit restoration refurbishment initiatives, electrical safety compliance, and Fire and Flood damage restoration. Prior to joining CHC, Jim was the Facility Manager at the Southwest Detention Centre, where he was responsible for managing facility equipment maintenance, building upgrades, lifecycle capital projects, and a preventative maintenance team. Jim has extensive technical and leadership experience as a 30-year licensed 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician and holds a Master Electrician Licence. Additionally, Jim is a Facility Management Professional (FMP) through IFMA, and holds Mould Inspection and Remediation Levels 1, 2, and 3, and Type 1, and 2 Asbestos abatement certification.
