
S. Mwarigha
S. Mwarigha leads WoodGreen’s affordable housing strategy, delivering Toronto’s first National Co-Investment and City’s Open-Door project, a 36-unit development for low-income, high-needs seniors, completed during the pandemic and occupied in June 2022. Mwarigha drives WoodGreen’s goal to build 2,000 affordable housing units through development, partnerships, and acquisitions. As Chair of Homeless Connect Toronto, Mwarigha organizes resource events for 1,000+ homeless individuals. A board member at Ephraim’s Place, supporting Jane-Finch youth, Mwarigha also serves on Black North Initiative’s Housing Committee and Brookfield Sustainability Institute. With 20 years of experience, Mwarigha is a recognized leader in affordable housing, contributing to Urban Land Institute and BILD. Holds master’s degrees in Urban Planning (Zimbabwe) and Urban Geography (Windsor), with Harvard executive education.
