Sharon Marcovitch
Dr. Sharon Marcovitch has a Masters Degree in Education from University of Michigan and a Doctorate in Developmental and Clinical Psychology from York University. As a registered Psychologist, she was Co-Director of the Developmental Evaluation Unit at Hospital for Sick Children for 17 years seeing children with complex medical, developmental and psychological needs. Following her time at Hospital for Sick Children, Dr. Marcovitch went in to private practice, seeing children and adolescents with developmental and learning challenges and assisting their families in determining best resources to support their children. She recently retired after 25 years, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Reena. During her many years of practice, Dr. Marcovitch has developed an in depth understanding of developmental challenges including cognitive delays and autism. Dr. Marcovitch has a son who lives in a Reena Residence and she has been able to share her lived experience as part of developing integrated supports for individuals with complex medical psychological and developmental challenges.
