Yves Cheung

Chief Development Officer, Toronto Community Housing Corproation

Yves Cheung is Toronto Community Housing’s (TCHC) new Chief Development Officer. He leads some of Canada’s largest – and most complex – housing revitalizations, including Regent Park, Alexandra Park, and Lawrence Heights. At a time when Toronto faces an unprecedented housing crisis, Yves is helping to reimagine TCHC’s role as a city builder, partnering with a wide range of developers to deliver affordable, mixed-income, mixed-use, and sustainable communities across the city.

With more than 14 years of experience in real estate, Yves brings a rare, dual-sector perspective, combining private-market expertise with public-sector city building. Prior to joining TCHC, Yves led major residential and mixed-use developments in Toronto, including bringing the city’s first Housing Now project to construction and supporting the Canary Landing mixed-income community. He led the development of Ten York – one of the city’s first smart, sustainable residential towers and has deep expertise in public-private partnerships, funding strategies, and sustainable urban development.
