Discover how public art can transform everyday infrastructure into vibrant spaces that celebrate community, creativity and connection.

Join StreetARToronto (StART) for a guided walking tour along Adelaide Street West, where 110 community-engaged artworks have transformed 600 metres of concrete cycling barriers into an outdoor gallery. Hear the stories behind the murals and discover how artists, curators and community members worked together to bring these creative projects to life.

Along the way, explore:

• Art with Purpose: How community engagement and local stories shaped the murals.
• Behind the Art: The curatorial process, artist selection and site-specific design.
• Creating Opportunities: How smaller canvases and mentorship support emerging artists.
• From Vision to Reality: The planning, production, safety and logistics involved in bringing public art to city infrastructure.
• Celebrating Community: How public art brings people together and creates a stronger sense of connection to their neighbourhoods.
