Michael Hutchinson is a Project Lead with the City of Toronto’s StreetARToronto (StART) program, where he leads public art projects that bring artists, communities and the City together to transform public spaces across Toronto.

Michael is passionate about city building, community development and civic engagement, with a particular interest in how public spaces can help create stronger connections between people and the places they call home. Through his work with StART, he collaborates with artists, residents, community organizations and City partners to deliver projects that reflect the character, and diversity of Toronto’s neighbourhoods.

He is especially interested in the role that art, public space and community participation can play in creating more vibrant, welcoming and connected neighbourhoods.
