Investment by Design: Making the Case for Community Housing

October 29, 2026
11:15 AM - 12:30 PM

What would change if we invested in housing based on the value it creates?

Community housing providers see the impact every day. A stable home can improve health, create stronger communities, and reduce pressure on public systems.

But too often, those benefits are not fully captured when decisions are made about funding and investment.

Drawing on the Social Housing Dividend research, this opening plenary explores the evidence behind housing’s broader impact. Leaders from housing, finance, research, and public health will discuss how we can better understand the value of community housing and build a stronger case for future investment, partnerships, and policy.

This main-stage session is part of a our three-part plenary series Forward by Design.
