Steve is the Commissioner Human Services for the Region of Peel, responsible for all community related social service supports which include Housing Service, Income Support Services, Early On and Child Care Services, Homelessness, Asylum Seekers solutions, Community Investments and Peel Housing Corporation. Steve has diverse, senior public sector experience, holding positions as General Manager Community Development, City of Sudbury, Director Growth Management and Chief Planner for the Region of Peel, Director of Ontario Works with the City of Hamilton and Director of Revitalization for the Toronto Community Housing Corporation. He has also held the position of Ontario Manager of Community Development with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. Steve is a Registered Professional Planner in Ontario and a member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and the Canadian Institute of Planners. He has a Master’s of Science in Planning from the University of Toronto, an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Laurentian University and Leadership designation from The IVEY School of Business at Western University.
